Some days when I arrive a few minutes shy of the glorious display, I wish it would slow down. Other days, I find myself wishing it would hurry up and pop out like a July 4th firework because I am in a rush that day and don't have time to sit and wait.
This morning was an unrushed, awake early kind of morning and I was able to enjoy a slow morning start to be still waiting for the glorious show to begin! My spirit stirred. God whispered into my soul as I sat there, "you can't hurry Me or slow Me down, this is My pace." The words filled my heart with such a peace...I needed that reminder in this season of life, neither can I rush it or will it to hurry or slow, it is purposed and planned for every 24 hours the way God has created it for. We simply must enjoy and count every minute with value that we have breath.
I don't know who else needs this encouragement, but may you too find yourself settling into God's Pace each day, with every breath taking in His glory and awed by His beautiful grace.
"But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in Him." The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him." Lamentations 3:21-25
"For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us." Psalm 62:5-8
"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to Him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
(A friend asked me to post some pictures of my skies here in The Keys, so I will post as many as I have space for....be blessed!)
